چکیده

Polylactide (PLA) stereocomplexes (SCs) containing amorphous block copolymers have gained enormous interest due to their unique properties and wide range of potential applications. In this work, we report the synthesis non-covalent triblock terpolymers: polystyrene–SCPLA–polyisoprene (PS–SC–PI) via stereocomplexation PS-b-PDLA with PI-b-PLLA diblock through solution-precipitation method. The were prepared by combining anionic polymerization high-vacuum technique ring-opening (ROP). First, several well-defined ω-hydroxyl polystyrenes polyisoprenes (PS-OH PI-OH) varied molecular weights synthesized using sec-BuLi as initiator. PS-OH PI-OH used macroinitiators for ROP DLA LLA catalyzed tin(II) 2-ethyl hexanoate afford PI-b-PLLA. PS–SC–PIs mixing solutions (in dichloromethane) precipitated into methanol. characteristics determined 1H NMR spectroscopy size exclusion chromatography. formation was evidenced differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffraction, Fourier-transform infrared, circular dichroism spectroscopies. A preliminary study atomic force microscopy reveals thin-film phase behavior supramolecular organization PS–SC–PI.

Nano-Stereocomplexation of Polylactide (PLA) Spheres by Spray Droplet Atomization

A direct, efficient, and scalable method to prepare stereocomplexed polylactide (PLA)-based nanoparticles (NPs) is achieved. By an appropriate combination of fabrication parameters, NPs with controlled shape and crystalline morphology are obtained and even pure PLA stereocomplexes (PLASC) are successfully prepared using the spray-drying technology. The formed particles of varying D- and L-LA co...

Structural reorganization of cylindrical nanoparticles triggered by polylactide stereocomplexation

Co-crystallization of polymers with different configurations/tacticities provides access to materials with enhanced performance. The stereocomplexation of isotactic poly(L-lactide) and poly(D-lactide) has led to improved properties compared with each homochiral material. Herein, we report the preparation of stereocomplex micelles from a mixture of poly(L-lactide)-b-poly(acrylic acid) and poly(D...

Covalently closed microemulsions in presence of triblock terpolymers.

This paper is focused on the influence of polystyrene (PS)-poly(1,4-butadiene) (PB)-poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) triblock terpolymers on the w/o microemulsion of the pseudo-ternary system water/sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS)/xylene-pentanol. Despite the insolubility of the copolymer in water as well as in the xylene-pentanol mixture, it can be incorporated into the w/o microemulsion and interactions...

Towards nanoporous membranes based on ABC triblock terpolymers.

Block copolymers represent an exciting class of complex materials as they self-assemble into highly regular structures of nanoscopic dimensions. When prepared as thin films, such structures can be used for a variety of applications including lithographic masks or nanoporous membranes. Reported here are nanostructures in thin films of structurally analogous polybutadiene-block-poly(2-vinyl pyrid...
